A super simple outfit so the boots take the spotlight. All black never fails.

These boots were love at first sight.
YAY! for the midi dress!
Throw one of these on along with a pair of heels and you’ve instantly got yourself a look that says “class”. One of the easiest things to wear when you don’t know what to wear. Technically you could just add minimal accessories to this and be done. But I loved the lace print on the dress so much, I sort of wanted to continue with it. So instead I added this vest (an old closet steal from a friend) and the tights. (Uhm I actually have no idea how or when these made it into my closet, but thank goodness they did.) Anywho, the aim was to add “lace-like” textures to the ensemble with out actually adding lace and it being to ‘matchy matchy’. So I’d have to say my favorite element to this look was the different textures. The constant use of black accessories (and the fact that the dress is in darker shade of blue) added a sweet edge to what could have been an otherwise soft girlie look.
So yes, if you don’t have a midi dress, go get one!
The ‘Arm Cuff’ (and I say ‘arm cuff’ because it was technically a bangle and I was just fortunate to be small enough to wear it as an arm cuff) was from Lovisa.
The clutch was from target.
The ‘cape’ was actually a maxi vest from Supré which I added to give a more modern and on-trend touch to an otherwise vintage dress/look.
And the vintage gloves (My favorite part of this entire outfit) were from Lincraft.
